Klimati beach in Zakynthos is a beautiful, unorganized, pebbly U-shaped bay with clear waters and a deep seabed, ideal for swimming, which stands out because it receives a combination of hot and cold waters due to underwater springs, creating a unique temperature experience. It is surrounded by rocks and lush vegetation and offers tranquility and natural beauty, without umbrellas or beach bars.

Makris Gialos
Makris Gialos beach is located on the north-eastern side of the island, located between Alykes and the port of Agios Nikolaos, 8 kilometers from our accommodation
It has crystal clear, deep turquoise waters and is pebbly.
It is surrounded by steep cliffs and has impressive sea caves that are accessible for swimming.
It is considered an ideal spot for snorkeling and diving due to the clear seabed and caves. It has a limited number of umbrellas and sunbeds, while above the beach there are traditional taverns. Access is easy by road, as the main road passes just above, with a few steps leading to the coast.
Notes for 2026: Due to the many visitors, parking access to the beach fills up quickly during the summer months (July-August), so it is recommended to visit in the early morning or late afternoon.

Xygia beach
The beach of Xygion, 11 kilometers from our accommodation, is unique of its kind in all of Zakynthos.
Don't be alienated by the “strange” smell that overwhelms the area where the beach of Xygion is located. It's for a good cause! Its waters contain sulfur in large proportion, hence the special smell. Sulfur comes from the neighboring caves and offers healing properties to the beach making it ideal for those suffering from leg pain and arthritis. It also helps treat cellulite.

Hidden among hills and not so easily accessible, it remains familiar to a few, but emerges as a small, Mediterranean paradise.
You may also see the coast referred to as «Pelagaki», but the correct name is «Pelagaki». Being also in Zakynthos, you may also hear it as «Mikri Xygia», which simply indicates its proximity to the much more famous Xygia beach, whose thermal, sulfurous waters attract many visitors every summer –especially people suffering from arthritis, cellulite and skin problems.

Pelagaki looks hidden between two low hills, while there is no road that leads right to the beach, which means it takes a little walking to get here.
This, combined with the fact that it remains a location relatively unknown to many, helps it maintain an isolated character, as a result of which it avoids excessive crowds even at the peak of the Greek summer. Note, however, that there is usually a lot of traffic in August.
If you get here, however, you will realize that your effort was worth more than that. The beach leaves a strongly white feeling, thanks to its white pebbles, while it also has beautiful, rocky ends with a low height, which are easily climbed by those who love diving.
At the same time, however, these formations also sculpt a wonderful seabed: if you love to swim with a mask and a snorkel, you should definitely bring them with you.

The blue caves are one of the most famous and advertised natural attractions of the island and can be visited either by your own boat or by one of the many organized boat trips.
They consist of idiosyncratic geological formations that have created a series of caves along the northwest coast of the island; they start immediately after Agios Nikolaos to end near Cape Schoinari.

Navagio Beach (the areas on the map)
«Navagio» beach is undoubtedly the most famous beach of Zakynthos and Greece. His photos are among the biggest and most important tourist guides in the world and there is no travel agency in the world that organizes trips to our country and does not have another impressive poster of «Shipwreck».
The beach of incomparable beauty is the result of the whim of nature, the western, seismic coasts of Zakynthos and the deep blue, deep waters of the Ionian Sea that for centuries now have sculpted the steep rocks of the wild nature of this side of the island, breaking them into small, white pebbles.
In this area on September 30, 1982, this maritime accident happened and the merchant ship «Panagiotis» with a crew from Kefalonia ran aground in the area.
The ship was carrying illegal cargo with boxes of duty-free cigarettes, and the following days the ship was looted by the villagers after its crew abandoned it.
That it could detach itself over time was detached from the ship and its carcass remained, struck by air and waves and devoured by saltiness.
Little by little the waves accumulated more and more pebbles, growing the beach and cutting off the contact of the ship's carcass with the sea. Then tourism began to develop even more in the area.
The boatmen who were already organizing excursions to the neighboring blue caves for the tourists, began to include a stop on the beach of the shipwreck.
The first photos were taken that traveled around the world, making an impression and attracting the attention of all visitors. The rusty boat, the white, pebbly beach, the steep rocks and the beautiful colors of the sunset became the most famous icon of Zakynthos.
National Geographic named it the world's most beautiful beach in 2008 while TripAdvisor many times featured it on its annual list of the world's 25 best beaches.
The area is a famous tourist destination, even for alternative tourism, as every year free parachute drops are organized from the rock on the beach of the wreck, while impressive videos of this risky effort are circulated on the internet.

The accommodation has: a large double bed with a new comfortable mattress, a living room with TV, dining room, kitchen and bathroom.

We are located 3 km from the famous tourist attraction of Zakynthos with thousands of visitors every year, the Shipwreck of Zakynthos. In the same area, around and next to the Shipwreck are historical religious monuments of our country, the remains of Kato Agios Georgios of Krimnon (15th century), the Monastery of Agios Georgios of Krimnon which was created in 1562, the Cave of Agios Gerasimos which was built with his own hands by Agios Gerasimos, the mosaic workshop that the fathers of the Monastery operate today.
In a quiet neighborhood in the center of the Village of Volimes, where our accommodation is located, at 65 m. there is the historic traditional church of Agia Paraskevi, at 40 m. the stone-built traditional church of Agios Theodosis, which the visitor admires for its decoration, its wonderful hagiographies, its wooden and stone-built iconostasis.
At 65 m. from our accommodation, there is a Mini Market where you can buy the necessary things, a Cafe to enjoy your coffee - refreshment, at 150 m. a Bakery to buy and enjoy traditional bread and the famous rusks of Volimes. Next to the Bakery there are Restaurants and shops that offer woven, knitted, ceramics with the taste and passion of the Volimiatos.
